The College of Computer Science and Information Technology organized a scientific workshop in collaboration with Huawei on Thursday, February 19, 2026.

This workshop took place on the sidelines of a visit by Ms. Rand Amer, a representative of the company, during which several faculty members were honored for their efforts in supporting student enrollment in Huawei Academy programs at the University of Anbar.

The workshop reviewed the professional certification system, training courses, and electronic services offered by the company in the fields of information and communication technology. It also explained the mechanisms for creating and linking accounts to the academy, as well as outlining the paths to participation in the company's annual competitions, including the ICT Competition and the Innovation Competition, along with their stages and requirements.

The company representative emphasized the importance of strengthening academic cooperation between Huawei and Iraqi higher education institutions, which contributes to developing students' skills and enhancing their readiness for the job market in line with global technological advancements. The workshop witnessed fruitful scientific interaction, reflecting the interest of students and faculty members in the presented programs. This event comes as part of the college’s strategy to expand partnerships with leading global companies, which supports the educational environment and enhances professional development opportunities for its students.
