Health Awareness Campaign
The Anbar Health Directorate/Public Health Department organized a health awareness lecture at the College of Computer Science and Information Technology. The lecture was attended by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Salah Awad Salman, along with faculty members and students, as part of efforts to promote health awareness within the university community.
The lecture was delivered by Dr. Mohammed Nasri, Director of the HIV and Hepatitis Control Unit. He discussed the definition of HIV and viral hepatitis, explaining their transmission methods and the most important means of prevention. He also emphasized the importance of early detection and its role in reducing the spread of these diseases.
The lecture witnessed significant interaction from the attendees, with a series of questions and scientific discussions that enriched the topics and contributed to enhancing the students' understanding.
The event concluded with on-site medical examinations, where samples were taken from interested students. This initiative aims to promote early detection and enhance health prevention within the university campus.
