The Agricultural Unit at the College of Computer Science and Information Technology, under the patronage of the Dean of the College (Professor Dr. Salah Awad Salman), organized a workshop entitled "The Role of Afforestation in Creating a Sustainable Learning Environment." The workshop was presented by Mr. Abdul Majeed Ahmed, Head of the Agricultural Unit, on Thursday, March 12, 2026, in Al-Khwarizmi Hall.

The workshop aimed to highlight the importance of afforestation and its role in improving the university environment, contributing to a healthy and aesthetically pleasing learning environment that enhances the psychological well-being of students and staff, as well as increasing productivity and fostering a culture of environmental awareness within the university campus.

The workshop also included a presentation on the most prominent environmental practices that contribute to supporting green spaces within the educational institution and their impact on achieving a more sustainable university environment.
