The College of Computer Science and Information Technology Holds a Workshop on the Electronic System for Academic Promotions
Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Computer Science and Information Technology, Professor Dr. Salah Awad, the College's Academic Promotions Committee held a workshop on Monday, October 27, 2025, entitled: "The Electronic System for Academic Promotions." The workshop was presented by Assistant Lecturer Mustafa Safouk, under the supervision of Professor Dr. Azmi Tawfiq Hussein, and with the participation of several faculty members and staff. The workshop took place in Al-Khwarizmi Hall.
The workshop addressed the operational mechanism of the electronic system for academic promotions, which contributes to simplifying administrative procedures and expediting the evaluation process for promotion applications, in line with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research's directives towards comprehensive digital transformation. The workshop also presented the technical steps for data entry and the methods for electronic tracking and authentication of faculty applications.
The lecturer emphasized the system's importance in enhancing transparency and accuracy in promotion procedures, as well as its role in documenting researchers' academic career paths within the university. He noted that the program represents a significant step forward in digital transformation projects.
At the workshop's conclusion, participants offered a range of scientific and technical comments and inquiries, expressing their appreciation for the college and the promotions committee's efforts in organizing such workshops, which contribute to improving academic and administrative processes.
