The Women's Affairs Unit, in cooperation with the University Psychological Counseling Unit and under the patronage of Professor Dr. Salah Awad Salman, Dean of the College of Computer Science and Information Technology, organized a scientific workshop entitled "The Phenomenon of Cyber ??Harassment and Blackmail" on Sunday, December 14, 2025, in the Al-Khwarizmi Hall at the college. The workshop was presented by Dr. Sumaya Abdullah Hamad, who addressed the concept of cyber harassment and blackmail, its various forms, the reasons for its spread, and its psychological and social effects on individuals and society. She also reviewed legal and societal prevention and protection methods, highlighting the role of technology and artificial intelligence in detecting and reporting cases of harassment, and offering practical solutions to help reduce these negative phenomena.

The workshop witnessed active participation from the attendees, reflecting the importance of the topic in promoting community awareness and building a safe university environment.
