As part of the annual scientific activities plan and under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Computer Science and Information Technology (Professor Dr. Salah Awad Salman), the Employment, Qualification, and Follow-up Unit held a scientific workshop titled "Fundamentals of E-Marketing" on Sunday, February 24, 2025, in the Al-Khwarizmi Hall at the college. The workshop was delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Dhafir Hamid Jassim.

Several faculty members from the college, in addition to a number of students, attended the workshop.
This workshop revolves around introducing students to the basics of electronic marketing, the beginnings of marketing and its importance, and the difference between electronic marketing and digital marketing. It also covers the most prominent types of electronic marketing, providing a brief explanation of each type along with the key advantages and disadvantages of electronic marketing and what electronic marketing offers compared to other methods. Additionally, it includes familiarization with the most important tools used in electronic marketing and how to handle each tool.
