As part of the scientific plan adopted by the College of Computer Science and Information Technology and in order to promote a culture of knowledge, under the patronage of the esteemed Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Salah Awad Salman, the Continuing Education Unit at the college organized a scientific workshop titled "Deepfake Technology" on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, in the Al-Khwarizmi Hall at the college. The workshop was presented by the Head of the Information Technology Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Khaled Shaker Jassim. The workshop aimed to provide a precise understanding of deepfake technology and how it works. And discussing the benefits and risks associated with its use, as well as identifying the available tools for detecting and combating deepfakes and raising community awareness about the importance of ethical technology use.
