Within the activities of the Iraqi Anti-Drug Week, a workshop entitled (Combating Drugs Using Modern Technology)

  

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Salah Awad Salman, Dean of the College of Computer Science and Information Technology, the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit organized a workshop entitled (Combating Drugs Using Modern Technology) on Thursday (12/5/2024), in the (Al-Khwarizmi) Hall in the college, and (Dr. Montaser Abdul Wahid Salman) and (Lecturer Saif Al-Din Mahmoud Najm) lectured.

The workshop addressed the fact that drugs are one of the chronic security challenges that pose a threat to humanity due to their economic, social, security, and health damages. They are one of the most complex phenomena, and based on their role in meeting national and regional needs to build capacities in the university's scientific priorities, which include combating drugs, as drug control strategies that are consistent with international standards concerned with combating drugs, as the program was created in an effort by the university to contribute to filling the gap in knowledge and skill formation in the field of modern means of control and comprehensive strategic planning to combat and prevent drugs.
