
Scientific seminar at the College of Computer Science and Information Technology
Under the patronage of Prof. Mushtaq Taleb Al-Nada, President of Anbar University, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Computer Science and Information Technology, Prof. Salah Awad Salman, the Women's Affairs Unit at the college held a scientific seminar on Wednesday (13/11/2024), entitled ‘Climate Change and its Impact on Society’, which was addressed by

2. Mr Ali Hashim Mohammed / Climate Change Unit Officer at the Anbar Environment Department
3. Mr Manaf Abdullatif Ahmed, President of the Love and Peace Forum for Students and Youth
The seminar was moderated by the head of the Women's Affairs Unit, Dr Makarem Abdulwahid Al-Turki.
The seminar aimed to introduce the concept of climate change, the factors affecting it, the reasons for concern about climate change and how to adapt and coexist with it, in addition to explaining the relationship between climate change and human activities and its environmental and economic impacts, and monitoring the impact of climate change on the environment in Iraq.
The seminar included two axes: the first axis (climate change, its causes and effects) and the second axis (climate change, adaptation and coexistence, and its environmental impacts in Iraq), while the second axis addressed (climate change, adaptation and coexistence, and its environmental impacts in Iraq).
The seminar concluded with a set of conclusions, the most important of which is that climate change is a scientific fact to which natural and human factors have contributed, and the rise in temperatures affects the ecosystem and the characteristics of soil and water.
