With the beginning of the new academic year, our college is launching its activities aimed at supporting the "National Campaign to Encourage Meaningful Content."

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Salah Awad Salman, our college presented an awareness-raising online lecture titled "Deceptive (Mythical) Ideas and How to Mitigate Them" on the evening of Wednesday, September 18, 2024. The lecture was delivered by Professor Dr. Shaimaa Abdulhamid Al-Abbasi from the University of Baghdad / Ibn Rushd College. The session was managed by the head of the Women's Affairs Unit in the College of Computer Science and Information Technology, who hosted participants from both the College of Medicine and the College of Arts. Their participation in our college added a charm that almost filled the atmosphere with the spirit of knowledge and learning, reflecting the team spirit aimed at achieving the desired goals for Al-Anbar University. It was an interesting and wonderful evening; the lecture addressed the methods of superstitions, their causes, and how to mitigate them. The lecture concluded with constructive contributions from the attendees, resulting in several recommendations, the most important of which are: the necessity for curricula to include programs aimed at developing and teaching children and students about research and the causes of things, in addition to promoting a culture of psychological and educational consultation and establishing specialized centers for psychological and educational guidance. There was also an emphasis on organizing courses and training workshops by state institutions and civil society organizations to foster scientific thinking instead of superstitious thinking.
