A New Scientific Achievement: Our Graduate Takes the Lead at the 4th Iraqi Artificial Intelligence Forum
Mina Adel Abdullah, a graduate of the College of Computer Science and Information Technology, won first place in the National Artificial Intelligence Developers Competition, held as part of the 4th Annual Iraqi Artificial Intelligence Forum. Her winning project was titled:
“Nerve Stimulation and Intensity Classification Based on Artificial Intelligence Algorithm,” supervised by Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Subhi Abdul Ghafour.
The results were announced during the forum, organized by the University of Information Technology and Communications in cooperation with Al-Mustaqbal University. The event was attended by the Acting Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Helo Al-Askari, the Secretary-General of the Federation of Arab Scientific Research Councils, the Director of the UNESCO Office in Iraq, and a number of university presidents, academics, and specialists in digital transformation and smart technologies.
The project explored the use of artificial intelligence algorithms to stimulate nerves and classify signal intensity with high accuracy. This supports biomedical applications and contributes to developing smart solutions for the healthcare sector, relying on advanced data analysis models to enhance diagnostic and control efficiency. The forum featured scientific and dialogue sessions that discussed the most prominent practical applications of artificial intelligence, as well as emphasizing the importance of translating research recommendations and outputs into actionable programs that contribute to modernizing the academic environment and fostering a culture of innovation within higher education institutions.
This achievement reflects the level of scientific excellence attained by the college's students and graduates, their active participation in national competitions, and their ability to present high-quality projects that keep pace with the rapid advancements in artificial intelligence technologies.
