A Scientific Workshop on the Dangers and Consequences of Suicide in Islamic Law and Civil Law, and Ways to Combat It
The University Psychological Counseling Unit, under the patronage of Professor Dr. Salah Awad Salman, Dean of the College of Computer Science and Information Technology, organized a scientific workshop entitled "The Dangers and Consequences of Suicide in Islamic Law and Civil Law, and Ways to Combat It." The workshop was held on Sunday, January 25, 2026, in the Al-Khwarizmi Hall at the college.
The workshop addressed the religious, legal, and psychological dimensions of the phenomenon of suicide, highlighting its negative effects on the individual and society, and outlining ways to prevent it and promote community awareness of the importance of mental health.
