The Dean of the College of Computer Science and Information Technology extends its warmest congratulations to Professor Dr. Ahmed Nouri Rashid, Head of the Computer Network Systems Department, on his election as Head of the Anbar Branch of the Iraqi Academics Syndicate. This follows the elections held on Thursday, January 23, 2026, at the Syndicate's headquarters in Baghdad.

The elections were conducted under the direct supervision of members of the Iraqi Academics Syndicate Council/General Headquarters, in a democratic atmosphere characterized by high transparency and excellent organization. Professor Dr. Walid Badiwi was also elected as Vice President of the Syndicate branch, reflecting the spirit of responsible union work and the high level of professionalism within the Iraqi academic community.

The Dean of the College expressed his pride in this important union achievement, emphasizing that the selection of Professor Dr. Ahmed Nouri Rashid for this position reflects the great confidence placed in his scientific and administrative competence, and his active role in serving the academic community, both at the college and provincial levels. The Deanship also extends its sincere thanks and appreciation to the President of the Iraqi Academics Syndicate, Professor Dr. Ali Musair Yassin, and the members of the Syndicate Council, for their significant efforts in supporting the Syndicate and strengthening its role in safeguarding the affairs of academics and defending their rights.
