Training Course: Electronic Blackmail and its Sharia and Legal Rulings
The Continuing Education Unit, under the auspices of Professor Dr. Salah Awad Salman, Dean of the College of Computer Science and Information Technology, held a training course entitled "Electronic Blackmail and its Sharia and Legal Rulings" in Al-Khwarizmi Hall. The two-day course concluded with a written exam on Wednesday, January 14, 2026. The course was presented by:

The course covered the definition of electronic blackmail, its forms, causes, and methods of prevention. It also addressed the Sharia ruling and legal penalties for these crimes, highlighting the role of educational institutions in raising awareness and mitigating these phenomena.
The course targeted faculty and students and witnessed valuable interaction and contributions from the attendees, enhancing community awareness and contributing to building a digitally safe university environment. This course is part of a series of scientific and awareness-raising activities that the college is keen to hold, in line with its academic and community role in spreading legal and digital culture.
