At the kind invitation and through joint cooperation between the Women's Affairs Unit at the College of Health and Medical Technologies
a lecture entitled "The Role of Universities in Promoting a Fair and Sustainable Work Environment for Both Genders" was held on Sunday, August 10, 2025. The lecture was presented by Dr. Makarem Abdulwahid Abduljabbar Al-Turki and moderated by Ms. Fadila Al-Rawi. The lecture addressed several key topics, most notably a presentation of a questionnaire that included a study of the concept of workplace justice, proposed plans to enhance it, and its impact on academic and institutional job performance.
The lecture also touched upon the policies adopted by some Western and Arab universities to promote this concept. The lecture concluded with recommendations, the most important of which, proposed by Dr. Al-Turki, was the establishment of a "Graduates Network" to support female students after graduation and provide them with job opportunities. This network would also include psychological support programs to address feelings of exclusion and discrimination, if present. The lecture also emphasized the importance of activating the role of men in supporting women's issues and promoting the exchange of experiences and skills between genders. This lecture is part of the Women's Affairs Division's summer program, reflecting the university's commitment to providing a safe and sustainable environment for its female members.
