According to the results of the Iraqi classification of scientific departments in Iraqi universities and colleges, announced by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, for the year 2024, the departments of the College of Computer Science and Information Technology at the University of Anbar achieved advanced ranks in this classification. Where the Department of Information Systems and the Department of Computer Network Systems obtained the (first) place in the classification, while the Department of Computer Science also obtained the (third) place.

This distinction comes as a result of the commitment and keenness of the Deanship of the College, represented by its Dean, Professor Dr. Salah Awad Salman, and its distinguished staff, with the directives of the University Presidency and with the standards of academic quality, curriculum development, scientific research, and the efficiency of teaching staff, which enhances its position in local and international classifications.
