Dr Makarem Abdulwahid Abduljabbar (Head of the Women's Affairs Unit at the College of Computer Science) and Dr Sumaya Abdullah Hamad (Department of Information Technology) participated in our college's knowledge journey ‘The Journey of Light: Shining Science and Knowledge Around’, in giving a scientific lecture at the Directorate of Internal Departments at Anbar University.

The workshop aimed to develop the skills of the female students of the internal departments in technology on the evening of Sunday 9/2/2025, for the female students of the internal department (No. 8) - the medical group, the first stage, the female students of the College of Education for Girls, and the female students of the College of Agriculture - and also aimed to explain the development of technology and its impact on women and girls in the organic and psychological health aspect and the side effects on them. The lecture emphasised how girls can protect their electronic accounts from any hacking as well as maximising the use of technology.

The lectures also outlined recommendations for students, including the importance of following up by combining their research studies and ideas using artificial intelligence sites to reach the best and most accurate results in the least amount of time, as well as protecting against blackmail and hacking of electronic devices by not interacting with any unofficial party and public sharing of the girl's private information.

The lecture coincided with the realisation of the recommendations of the regional event of the International Day of Girls in developing their skills in technology and communications.
